What would happen if the rights of children were given the highest priority? Whenever a parent comes to court and asks for advice and help about being a better parent or a better divorced parent, everyone familiar with the legal system sits up and takes notice of the parent’s refreshing, unique attitude. Usually any parent who goes to court over custody issues is bitter and angry, saying all kinds of vile, nasty things about the other parent. It is human nature to be argumentative and critical of the other parent when you are divorcing that parent, but we believe this is not the best approach: not best for you, not best for the other parent, and, most importantly, not best for the children.
